Our Wellness Offerings
We offer sessions in Mindfulness, Nutrition, and Movement, as the three building blocks of Wellness. We also provide
learning events and workshops to assist personal or organizational transition and build resiliency during times of change.
Here is a sampling of our programs:
"A Custom Fit-ness"
Fitness and daily movement can increase both productivity and overall health and wellness.
But what does "fitness" mean to you?
We'll explore your definition of fitness and its place in your life. Our experiential exercises help translate
your fitness concepts into practical, real world activities using movement techniques drawn from athletics,
yoga and dance. We'll practice ways to integrate more movement into your daily life, at home and at work.
“The Inside Job: Mindfulness for Stress Reduction”
When Life throws curves, how do you respond? It’s really an inside job. When we’re fully present,
we have access to our complete range of internal resources.
Get a down-to-earth experience of Mindfulness. We’ll help you identify your most challenging contexts and explore
practical techniques to ground yourself, especially during stressful times. Learn an inside-out approach to improve your focus, decision-making and resiliency.
“Comfort + Food: Eating for Stress Reduction”
Food and Stress go together like peanut butter and jelly. Food choices can enhance or reduce our ability to manage stress. Many of us turn to coffee or donuts to get us through a stressful situation at work, and ice cream or alcohol when we finally collapse at home. This sort of emergency management can actually create a downward spiral of reduced coping abilities.
Did you know that good nutrition can be a powerful stress management tool? While many “comfort food” choices may not be healthy, eating well can improve your focus, decision-making and resiliency. You might be surprised at some of the things our nutrition coach recommends! (Hint: some chocolate in the afternoon might not be a bad thing.)
"Building Personal Resiliency"
Resiliency is the capacity bounce back during, and after, major change. This presentation includes a conceptual introduction and a set of practical approaches to increase individual resiliency. Learn techniques like re-framing and re-appraisal, as well as basic mindfulness strategies to help remain in the moment and avoid catastrophization. We review the brain science behind emotional reactions to significant challenges, as well as how to mitigate those reactions.
"Capitalizing on Change"
There is a typical arc of personal experiences during major change. We will share a model to help normalize your reactions to changes, as well as suggestions for self-care during change. This session can be tailored to individual contributors, or staff managers. In the latter case, we also address practical strategies for managers to ensure successful transitions for their staff during times of organizational change.
